DIY Mother’s Day Garden Box Gift

Last week I shared this garden organizing jar from Martha Stewart, and it inspired me to make this gardening gift box for Mother’s Day.

I purchased inexpensive wood handled tools from Target, and transformed them with some paint, twine, and a leather strap. I even included a kids garden rake that Sydney and I worked on together. Now when she is visiting Nana this summer, she can help do some garden work. Also in the box, some nice tall gloves, plant ties, and gladiolus bulbs.

I put it all in a pretty box, and topped it off with some yard and a fabric flower I made. You can find my previous post on making these flowers here.

Here are the items I purchased for the gift set, before transforming and packaging them.
