Our Home

When we moved into our current apartment, we set out to make it feel as little like a rental and as much like a home as possible. I think we were very successful! We love our place, and accomplished it on a small budget. With lots of thrift shopping, bargain hunting, paint, paint, and more paint, we turned our apartment into a home!

  2. Could you please tell us the paint used in the hall bathroom? Is it actually metallic? I have been considering using Ralph Lauren Home’s Golden Candlestick to create an accent wall in my living room.

  3. I am obsessed with the paint color in your bedroom and might use it for my future nursery. Can you please share with me the exact color of that gorgeous blue? Your place is amazing and wish you could come decorate my entire house!!! LOVE! Thank you SO much!

  4. I love your home, it’s amazing! can you tell me more about the horses on Sydney’s bedroom wall, I’m in love with them!

    • Hi Alisa,

Thanks! My husband made it! He sprayed the canvas gold, then created a stencil of Sydney’s name and used the stencil to spray her name onto the canvas with white spray paint. As a finishing touch, he added some extra white paint and allowed it to drip.

Good luck with the project, and let me know if you have any other questions!

    • I found them at a thrift store, and I added the decorative papers in the background, and little gold nails to hang rings on. They’re old printer block trays, and I think I picked one of them up in the city at Salvation Army or Goodwill, the other one came from a flea market in Ohio. They pop up every now and then, you just have to keep an eye out!

  6. I Love your home..Love the grays..and the vintage furniture! So my style. I would like to know the shades of gray you used in your entry, hall and living room. I am in the process of picking the exact grays for my entry room, hall and kitchen/living room but finding it difficult to choose because I need something not too dark in between I guess. Kids you know..Boy’s lol.. and dirty hands! I also chose a blue similar to your room (which is fantastic btw 🙂 for my bath. Great inspiration!
