I’ve had a busy month thus far, and am finally getting around to gift wrapping. Once I got started, the first thing I did was take a good look around the house for items I could reuse. I ended up with some leftover gift boxes and a few empty brie containers. With a little paint and a few embellishments, I completely transformed my boxes into pretty packages!
The brie boxes just needed a coat of paint on all sides.
Then I got creative with the gift toppers. A couple Borax Crystal Snowballs make the perfect wintry touch.
Below, a little baker’s twine and a clay gift tag jazz up the recycled container.
I also created a big white flower topper using just a stack of coffee filters. Can’t get easier than that!
And, if you have leftover shopping store gift boxes, give them a facelift with some paint. I used gold spray paint to cover the store name on my boxes. Then embellished them. Here I simply added a glitter bow from my Garland Tutorial.
Do you have any creative ways to recycle and reuse containers for gift giving? Please share, I’d love to see them!

Very nice article and straight to the point. I don’t know if this is truly the best place to ask but do you folks have any idea where to get some professional writers? Thank you.

Love the brie box transformation. I wish I got to chat with you at the Balanced Living event; I think we have a lot in common!
Thanks! Well we’ll have to keep in touch, and hopefully there will be another Chicago event soon. I really enjoyed the last couple days, and learned so much!
