Good Morning! Today I bring you a guest post from Joanna at Design Shuffle. She has some great workspace ideas for you fellow crafters and DIY-ers. Enjoy!
Hello! My name is Joanna. I’m a writer for Design Shuffle, a wonderful social networking community that brings together interior designers and those who love to follow their work. Luckily, as part of my writing I get to spend my days searching for and gathering decorating ideas and images. I love to share them with blog readers like you on design blogs such as The Gold Jelly Bean.
If you’re a crafter, then you know having a place to work and keep your supplies is a necessity. This can be accomplished by turning a spare bedroom or office into your dream workspace or by using a corner of the kitchen or dining room to spread your wings. There is something thrilling about seeing your supplies organized and at the ready for the next big project. These are some of my favorite workspaces wonders. Thanks for letting me share today!
This is the perfect example of making-do without a space to call your very own. Tucked away in a hutch, the supplies bring their own beauty to the space.
I particularly love the ribbons with their spectrum of color. The placement of light fixtures under the shelves illuminates supplies for easy access. I’m thinking this one might spark some decorating ideas for other rooms—the pairing of red and turquoise is beautiful.
Whoever owns this space with its ample workspace is one lucky gal–a place for everything and everything in its place.
This white washed space makes colorful filing systems and yellow chair pop. The glass jars are a nice touch for buttons, pins and such.
The vibrant colors in this workroom make me happy. It is like a lovely wrapped present just waiting to be opened.
This is certainly an amazing workspace fitted with a sink and faucet and an island which holds crafting books.
Such a color coordinated interior design must make working in here so inviting. The Flokati rug keeps toes warm and adds texture to the room.
This looks like an artist’s room, with its colorful prints. A large light fixture would be nice in place of the fan for adding extra light to the space. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Thank you, I am going to use some ideas to organise a bookshelf in my basement.
